Cathy Lindblad

Cathy Lindblad is an educator, children’s author, and the creator of the Kindergarten Cathy book series. Originally from Ithaca, New York, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Expository Writing and Cultural Studies from SUNY Empire State College and her master’s degree in Elementary Education from Elmira College.
With more than 20 years in education, Cathy has dedicated her career to helping young children build confidence, resilience, and a love of learning. Inspired by true-life experiences, the Kindergarten Cathy books bring meaningful childhood moments to life with stories that encourage kindness, perseverance, healthy habits, and emotional growth. The very first Kindergarten Cathy book was inspired by her own first day of kindergarten.
Cathy is also the proud mother of two grown children. Through her books and educational resources, her mission is to help children enjoy reading, believe in themselves, embrace challenges with confidence, and remember that we can do hard things.
